I've always wanted to try an off brand cake mix but didn't trust that they would be any good. A local grocer had an off brand on sale for .59 cents a box so I though, what the heck, try it! I purchased one marble cake. I followed the box directions for mixing. I added 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips to the fudge mixture (because I always have to jack around with directions!)
I also wanted to try one of those new frosting's in a can with the star tip nozzle. And I've been dying to try these new paper decorator strips. Maybe I should have titled this "Experiment Cupcakes"
Well, they smelled good & looked really cute, so I added a few mini chips to the top. Now they look really, really, cute!
Nothing says yummy to the eyes like a dish with doilies
And, they were delish! The cake, frosting, & cute paper cup wrappers all pass the CFC test! What's CFC? Cheep, Fast, Cute!
Hi Nancy,
ReplyDeleteThey look great. I love the cupcake wrappers. Where did you get them? Thanks for the visit and I'm a new follower.

Hi Anne-Marie,
ReplyDeleteI got them at Michael's craft store. They were $3.99 for a pack of 18 (strange number). I had a 40% off coupon, so they were really cheep!
I love cheep!
Thanks for stopping by!
Nancy
