My Big Fat Greek Auction!

Our church had a themed auction "My Big Fat Greek Auction" which of course was a spoof on the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding. My niece Angela asked me if I still had all of my "old" styled wedding supplies. I laughed because I knew I was going to be involved in her project. Angela is getting into the cake business, and I must admit it is flattering for me to help her. This is a picture of us and the cake we made for the auction.

We made a cake that was very popular back in the 80's & early 90's.

Do you remember the stairways with bridesmaids & groomsmen?

Or the colored water fountain?

We decorated in blue because that was the color of her bridesmaid dresses in the movie.

Just for fun we made the center cake a bundt! You know a cake with a hole! How funny! We even made the flowerpot a cake too.


                                   
And who can forget the lacy poofy thingy's we use to put on the serving utensil!
