I feel like struttin"

Remember when John Travolta said in Saturday Night Fever "I feel like strutting!" Well if I had an ass rear end like John Travolta's (back in the day) I would have put a video of me walk'n! But instead I'll show off some of my cakes and a few other items I've done. Sorry nieces &/or nephews if your cake is not here. I haven't scanned in the whole collection.
1st up was my niece RoseMarie's 1st birthday cake. She is now 14. It was a baby Disney cake.
Next up was my nephew Dominick. He had Winnie the Pooh. He is now 14 too!
This was his personal cake.
My Mother-in-Law's 80th birthday. God Bless her with many more! This doesn't look it but it was huge!
A fruit basket. I have since purchased the wavy cutter so my fruit looks even prettier now!
An old Sicilian tradition in our family. Pubaqulovo (dolls with an egg). A yummy lemon, orange, vanilla flavored cookie with a lemon-vanilla-rum frosting! Yummy! We make these at Easter.
My New York Cheesecake (see previous blog) with chocolate ganache, green colored coconut, & peeps. Can you guess which Holiday this was for?
My niece and God baby Gena Marie's 1st birthday cake (notice how the cakes are getting bigger!)
A Cinderella cake complete with carriage, horses, mice, slipper & lights! It was very cute. That's me holding Gena. A rare find, me in a pic!
A close up of the lights
My nephew Geno's 1st birthday cakes. His theme was fire Department! His daddy is a fireman. Geno loves his dog Rocco, so I made Rocco!
No dog or fire theme is complete without a fire hydrant! This was really big too!
Pumper #1, Pumper #1, where are you?
His little cake had dog bones all around it (made out of brownies).
My niece Jackie's baby shower
My friend Jana's baby shower.
How cute are these happy little bee's!
My nephew Joe-Joe's 1st Birthday, This cake was really cute! It was on a rotating base. It had lights, and all of the clowns had Joe-Joe's face.
How cute is that!
Close up of the lights
My niece Josie's first birthday. A Castle cake of course! All things Josie are Princess!!
Josie's personal cake
My nephew Sal's 1st birthday. This cake was made to look like a bunch of birthday gifts all opened.
The whole Disney gang showed up too!
Sal's personal cake
The twins my niece & nephew Sammy & Rosetta.Named after my brother & sister Sam & Rosetta. They are twins too! My brother Sam is their Grand Father. How cool is that!
This cake was on a rotating base too.
A close up of Sammy's personal cake. Rosetta's is shown in the pic above.
The twins Sammy & Rosetta's 2nd birthday (it's not fair if they only got one cake! so they got two!)
One side was Micky Mouse
The other was Minnie!
Now that's putting my conogin to work!
My niece Sarina & new nephew Ponch's wedding surprise cake. They thought they could just sneak off to Vegas and get married! Bahhahahahahah. Just in case your confused, all the cakes for the 1 year olds are my Great-nieces & nephews.
Sarina loves herself some roulette!
This is my niece Savina's 1st birthday cake. The bottom was 4 layers high. I made it Spumoni flavored.
Chocolate, Strawberry, Pistachio & chocolate again (always worth repeating). It was yummy.
Savina's personal cake
This cake actually has it's own feature on this blog. This is my nephew Tommy's 1st birthday cake
complete with lion, elephant, seal, & Ring Master!
This was the twins (Sammy & Rosetta's) baby shower cake "Two Peas in a Pod"
I made the babies out of modeling chocolate. Don't you just want to bite Sammy's tush!

  4. Thanks everyone! Alessandra, I use Pillsbury white cake follow the directions on the box. I use Duncan Hines for chocolate. To make a flavor like pistachio I just add in 3/4 cups chopped pistachios and one box of pistachio pudding. I like to add a handful of mini-chocolate chips (sprinkle with some of the cake mix to keep them from sinking or a tablespoon of flour) in my chocolate cakes. I also like to add lemon or orange rind, coconut, nuts, etc. I just throw them in without any alterations to the original ingredients. Hey, I'm just nuts like that! Thanks for visiting.
    Love

P.S. Lori.......Please! You crack me up with the talent statement! If I had your talent, I'd throw mine away!
